Metal railings measured around Ashton-under-Lyne boundaries

Wall-top and patio examples. Free site survey. Matching gate layouts available.

Railings fitted to real boundaries

Corners measured accurately

We record turns and level changes instead of assuming one straight run.

Open views retained

Height and spacing can define an edge without creating a solid screen.

Gates matched in

Shared bars and top lines help the entrance read as one joined design.

Define edges without building a solid barrier

Metal railings can finish a front boundary, add an open section above a wall or mark the edge of a patio and raised outdoor area. Each setting creates different measuring problems, so we inspect straight runs, corners and changes in level before drawing up the sections. We note where paths, gates and existing posts interrupt the line. Height and bar spacing affect how open the boundary feels, while the top profile and decorative detail set its character. Our portfolio shows completed wall-top and patio layouts for comparison.

Keep gates and railing lines coordinated

Where railings meet a pedestrian or driveway gate, the top lines and repeated bars should look considered rather than patched together. We can plan both elements during the same site survey, using shared spacing, shapes or decorative details where suitable. Masonry, paving and outdoor edges need different fixing arrangements, so we check the supporting surfaces before fabrication. Powder coating provides the finished colour and is supplied as standard. During fitting, we align each section across the measured run.

Frequently asked questions

Can metal railings be fitted on top of a wall?

Yes, subject to the condition, width and layout of the masonry. We inspect the wall, coping, corners and fixing positions before designing the sections. The measured run then determines post spacing and the size of each railing panel.

Do you make railings for patios?

Our portfolio includes patio railing systems. We measure the edge runs, corners, access points and changes in level, then plan sections for the available supporting surfaces. The preferred height, view and decorative style shape the layout.

Can new railings match a new gate?

Yes. Planning them together allows us to repeat bar spacing, top profiles and selected decorative details. We measure the full frontage and note how the moving gate meets the fixed sections, helping the whole boundary sit in line.
