Made-to-measure choices that solve awkward gaps
Exact opening dimensions
We account for width, levels and clearance instead of relying on stock sizes.
Useful hardware positions
Hinges and locks are placed for the way you enter and leave the property.
Coordinated boundaries
Your gate can share shapes and details with nearby walls and railings.
A gate shaped around the real opening
Standard gates rarely account for a wall that leans, ground that rises or an opening that is an awkward width. We visit your property and measure the fixing surfaces, clearances, levels and direction of travel before planning the design. That information lets us make bespoke metal gates for the space instead of asking the space to accept an off-the-shelf size. You can choose the height, top profile, bar spacing and decorative detail. We also consider how the gate needs to open, where the latch should sit and what it will fix to.

From site notes to accurate workshop fabrication
Our owner carries out the measure, then uses those same details to plan manufacture and fitting. This removes the rather familiar problem of one person measuring and another being left to guess what was meant. We can match a new gate with adjoining railings, masonry and existing boundary features by adjusting its proportions and repeated details. Hinge arrangements and locking hardware are agreed as part of the design, while the powder-coated colour helps tie the finished metalwork into the property.
Frequently asked questions
What do you measure before making a metal gate?
We check the opening width, ground levels, fixing surfaces, movement space and safe clearance. We also discuss the preferred hinge side, opening direction, gate height and latch position. These details form the working plan for manufacture and fitting.
Can you match a gate to existing railings?
We can review the proportions, bar spacing, top shape and decorative details already in place. A perfect match depends on the existing design, but the site survey lets us identify practical ways to create a coordinated appearance.
Can I choose the design and colour?
Yes. We discuss traditional and contemporary shapes, bar layouts, decorative elements and hardware during the design stage. Powder coating is included as standard, with a choice of colours for the finished gate.
